Veteran Treatment Court Coordination Act of 2017

This bill expresses the sense of Congress that veterans treatment courts are a successful program aimed at helping veterans charged with non-violent crimes receive the help and the benefits for which they are entitled.

The Department of Justice shall establish a Veteran Treatment Court Program to provide grants and technical assistance to state circuit court systems that have adopted or filed a notice of intent to establish such a program.

Such program shall include specified veterans treatment court grant programs.

Man's capacity for justice makes democracy possible; but man's inclination to injustice makes democracy necessary.
